Over the past years, under the instruction of the Party Committee and the Chain-of-Command of Military Region 3, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and other agencies, the provincial Military Command and the provincial Farmers’ Association have effectively implemented the signed cooperation program, contributing to promoting social welfare, building strong local bases, and strengthening economic, cultural, and social development.

At the meeting

Notably, the provincial Military Command and the provincial Farmers’ Association promoted information dissemination to encourage troops and farmers to strictly implement the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies, and local regulations. They also focused on popularizing the tradition of the Party, nation, military, their hometowns, local defense and military missions, and activities of the association.

In the 2016-2019 period, under the encouragement of the provincial Farmers’ Association, hundreds of thousands of farmers in the province registered to compete and won different titles. The association worked with other units to hold thousands of training courses on technology transfer for 513,813 farmers and mobilized households with effective production models to help others escape poverty.

Meanwhile, agencies and units under the provincial Military Command have actively responded to movements, including “The military joins hand to build new-style rural areas” and “The military acts for those in need to ensure that none are left behind.” Accordingly, the province’s armed forces contributed more than 30,000 working days and donated over VND 600 million to construct rural roads, dredge irrigation canals, and repair schools and war cemeteries. Military agencies and units provided money and production equipment to 70 needy households and built dozens of houses for needy farmers and policy beneficiaries.

Those above-mentioned deeds have contributed to eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, consolidating military-civilian relations, and raising troops’ mass mobilization skills. The acts have also strengthened social, economic, and cultural development in the region.

Regarding missions in the coming time, the working mission asked the two sides to embrace the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies, and raise the quality and efficiency of mass mobilization. They were also urged to follow situational developments to discover and make timely recommendations to higher levels to deal with complicated circumstances, so as to ensure political security and public order.
