The two sides signing coordination agreement |
According to a report delivered at the event, in the 2017-2022 period, the two units coordinated with each other in the leadership and organization work; maintained inspection, review, and information exchange, contributing to accomplishing political missions, encouraging troops on duty in border areas to fulfill all assignments, consolidating the political system, and ensuring political security, social order and safety in border areas, among others.
Additionally, the two units closely worked with departments, agencies, Fatherland Front chapter to effectively implement movements launched by the localities, contributing to fostering people’s trust, arousing national pride, and enhancing solidarity.
The units jointly carried out dissemination activities, called on organizations, individuals, and benefactors to build 92 houses for needy people in border areas, 35 great solidarity houses, 22 gratitude houses, and 13 domestic water projects, with a total value of more than VND 9 billion.
In the 2023-2027 period, the two units agreed to cooperate in maintaining information exchange to increase the quality and efficiency of cooperation program while strengthening information dissemination and education among troops and local people to improve their defense-security knowledge and encourage them to strictly observe the Party’s guideline and policies, the State’s law, and the locality’s regulations.
Moreover, the two units will give recommendations to higher levels to reinforce the grassroots political system, effectively implement programs and goals for socio-economic development; enhance foreign relations and people-to-people diplomacy to promote solidarity and friendship with the governments and border protection forces of the neighboring countries; as well as build a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
