Launched on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the border guard force and the whole people’s border guard day, the program features a series of activities, including youth’s trips to border markers, “I love my nation” flag saluting ceremonies, exchanges, and visits to former border troops.

According to President of the Vietnam Youth Federation Nguyen Ngoc Luong, provincial and municipal youth union chapters have registered to launch hundreds of projects and social activities in response to the program. Through these projects and activities, youth force expects to contribute to defense and security consolidation and socio-economic development missions as well as support needy people, especially youth in border areas.

During the program, youth union organizations of provinces and cities will organize a series of activities to popularize the history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and heroic young people as well as youth’s achievements and contribution. They will study and contribute ideas to youth’s congresses at all levels in an effort to support start-up youths and helping vulnerable ones to develop their talent.

Together with 20 gift packages for former voluntary youths, policy beneficiaries, and charismatic ethnic minority people, the organizing panel handed over 20 sanitation projects to schools in disadvantaged border localities in Nghe An province at the launching ceremony.

Organizers also presented a solar power project (worth VND 200 million), two “Beautiful schools for children” projects (worth VND 700 million in total), 500 national flags to households in Nam Cam commune, two houses to needy students, and 1,000 pairs of shoes (worth VND 250 million) to local people, youths, and students.
