Accordingly, on learning about difficult situations facing local people and students, the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command provided a financial package to build clean water supply facilities in Meo Vac district’s communes of Xin Cai, Lung Chinh, Sung Mang, and Ta Lung.

At the same time, the unit also presented TVs and commercial rice cookers to local schools, granted 50 gifts to needy households in Xin Cai commune, and gave presents in cash to local teachers on the occasion of the coming Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).

These social welfare activities totally cost over VND 2 billion, which had been raised by the Ho Chi Minh City Command, the city’s political organizations, and sponsors.

In his speech, Senior Colonel Pham Duc Chau Tran, Second-in-Command of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command, urged local people and schools to bring into play these facilities in order to effectively serve their daily life, contributing to preventing diseases and protecting the environment.

At the same time, he hoped that local students would continue their study to realize their future dreams, and local people would further follow the State’s laws, develop economy, and join hands with authorities to firmly safeguard national sovereign over border areas.
