The units also provided knowledge on safeguarding maritime sovereignty, maritime safety regulations, disaster prevention, and search and rescue operations. Fishermen were encouraged to actively provide information and coordinate with authorities to protect maritime security.
On this occasion, the organizing panel presented 34 gifts, totaling VND 51 million, to disadvantaged fishermen. The practical gifts included national flags, medical cabinets, first-aid supplies, warm blankets, and life jackets. The units also urged organizations and individuals to establish long-term partnerships with programs supporting fishermen.
This practical activity aimed to raise awareness among officials, citizens, and especially fishermen of the strategic role of Vietnam’s sea and islands, as well as citizens’ responsibilities in protecting the national sovereignty.
