Troops on Song Tu Tay Island take the patient to the helicopter.

Doctors at the infirmary found out that the patient suffered from symptoms of meningitis and brain stroke. Thus, they decided that the patient should be brought ashore for further treatment due to his serious health condition.

After receiving the information, Helicopter EEC VN-8619 of the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company and doctors from the Ho Chi Minh City-based Military Hospital 175 were sent to the island to fly the patient to shore.
