The mission included Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 1 Major General La Cong Phuong and representatives from GS’s agencies, the Department of Policy under the General Department of Political Affairs, the provincial people’s committee and Fatherland Front Committee.

After offering incense and flowers at the temple honoring General Vo Nguyen Giap and visiting the historical site where the Vietnam Dissemination and Liberation Armed Team, the predecessor of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army, was founded in Tran Hung Dao Forest of Nguyen Binh district, the delegation met with the district’s leadership. They also presented 45 gifts to policy beneficiaries and needy students who have strived in their studies.

On this occasion, the GS handed over donations to assist Nguyen Binh district in building two gratitude and two solidarity houses; designing and building software and installing a language and computer classroom at Tam Kim Primary School (including 40 computers, a 65-inch screen, and student desks and chairs).

The GS also gave financial assistance to design, build, and install three clean water filtration systems with a capacity of 500 liters per hour at Tam Kim Primary School, Thanh Cong Ethnic Boarding School, and Hoa Tham Primary School; survey and build a physical therapy and rehabilitation room at Nguyen Binh district’s Medical Center; and repair a suspension bridge in Quang Thanh commune, Nguyen Binh district.
