The medical staff of the Gia Lai provincial Border Guard Command provide free health examination and consultation to locals.

During the program, the medical staff of the Military Command and Border Guard Command of Ia Nan and Ia Puch Border Post of the provincial Border Guard Command provided free health check-ups and medicines to 738 policy people, national contributors, poor residents, and ethnic minority people in the two communes.

Apart from free health check-ups and medicines, doctors and nurses equipped locals with methods to prevent seasonal diseases, blood pressure, diabetes, and bone and joint diseases and advised them to uphold a healthy lifestyle.

As reported, since the beginning of 2023, the provincial border guard command has organized two healthcare programs in border areas, during which more than 1,000 people had their health checked and received free medicines. The activities have contributed to local health sector’s efforts in raising people’s awareness of healthcare, disease prevention, environmental sanitation, and access to medical services.

The province’s border guard force has also carried out effective socio-economic development and defense posture consolidation models in seven border communes of Gia Lai.
