Speaking at the meeting with the Military Medical Department’s representatives, GDP’s Deputy Chief praised and highly appreciated efforts of the department’s personnel over the past time.

Senior Lieutenant General Do Can congratulates personnel of the Military Medical Department on the Vietnamese Physicians’ Day.

General Can emphasized that the past two years have been a difficult and challenging time for troops across the military as the pandemic broke out and has complicatedly developed. He stressed that the country’s fierce fight against the pandemic has received great contribution of military medical workers and personnel of the Department of Military Medicine.

As an advisory agency for the General Department of Logistics, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, the Department of Military Medicine has made great contribution to taking care of troops’ health.

In addition to that, the department has actively carried out defense external relations in terms of military medicine, trained medical personnel for the health sector in general and for military medical force in particular. More especially, in recent two years, it has tried its utmost to fulfil pandemic prevention and control mission. Its efforts have been praised by the Party, military and people, contributing to enriching the traditions of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. 

On the occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Do Can wished the department’s personnel good health and happiness. Repeating President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching which reads, “A good physician must be like an affectionate mother at the same time,” General Can expected that in the coming time the department’s staff will promote unity, raise their professionalism, and overcome all challenges to fulfill assigned missions.
