Economic-defense missions contribute to building people’s trust
PANO – The Ministry of National Defense (MND) has evaluated that over the past years, economic-defense missions have successfully fulfilled all set political targets, contributing to ensuring political security in strategic and border localities and consolidating people’s trust.
Helping locals with farming techniques
Accordingly, the missions have closely cooperated with other units stationed in the localities, local Party committees, authorities, and agencies to help locals grasp and strictly implement the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies. Their troops and staff have actively mobilized the dwellers to adopt healthy lifestyles, practice family planning, apply modern farming techniques in order to raise the efficiency of agricultural production, and eliminate backward customs and deal with social issues to build up cultural life. Furthermore, they promoted dissemination to help people identify and not be involved in illegal activities to combat schemes of hostile forces.
Thanks to their all-out efforts, thousands of locals have been admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam and provided with vocational training.
In the coming time, the MND in association with ministries, central and local agencies will continue instructing these missions to raise the quality and efficiency of their activities with a focus on building people’s trust and fulfilling assigned tasks in the new context.
