Distressed fisherman saved at sea
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center successfully rescued a distressed fisherman at sea on March 16.
Earlier, fisherman Le That (born in 1975) from Tam Quan commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province, a crew-member of trawler QNa-90457TS, had a serious labor accident while fishing in the waters some 387 nautical miles off the northeast of Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands.

The fisherman had a broken neck, bleeding heavily, fainting, and was very weak.
The trawler’s captain requested medical support. He was then taken ashore by the center for further treatment on March 14.
