Approved by the Ministry of National Defense, the corps quickly worked with the Air Defense - Air Force Service and relevant units to assign the mission to the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company. Helicopter EC-225, numbered VN-8620, of the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company and a medical team from Military Hospital 175 then immediately conducted the medical emergency flight.

At 19:00 on November 14, the helicopter took off from Vung Tau airport to Tan Son Nhat airport to take the medical team of Military Hospital 175, then continued to fly to Song Tu Tay Island to pick up the patient. At 6:52 a.m. on November 15, the helicopter landed safely at Tan Son Nhat airport. The patient was quickly taken to Military Hospital 175 for further treatment.

The emergency medical flight was carried out at sea in the dark and under harsh weather conditions. However, thanks to careful preparation and close coordination of relevant units, the flight was successful, ensuring absolute safety.
