In addition, agencies and units under the provincial border guard command coordinated with local agencies, sectors, and organizations to plant more than 2,000 trees in localities where they are stationed.

Speaking at the event, Political Commissar of the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Trung Kien emphasized the significance of tree-planting activity since the province shares a borderline of about 141km with Cambodia's Moldunkiri province. Over the past time, units under the provincial border guard command have issued guidelines and taken measures to foster the tree-planting movement, environmental protection, and building of green, clean, and beautiful environment.

Through the event, the provincial border guard command wanted to encourage troops to actively participate in local tree-planting activities; enhance information dissemination and mobilize their families and locals to respond to and join forest protection, contributing to generating short- and long-term benefits.
