Coast guard ship rescues troubled trawler
PANO - Ship CSB 3005 under Flotilla 102 of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command on December 6 successfully towed a troubled trawler numbered NA 93173 TS with eight fishermen on board to the port of Lach Quen and handed the vehicle and crew over to the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command.
Earlier, the trawler went adrift due to engine failure about 78 nautical miles Northeast of Cua Hoi (Nghe An province) while fishing at sea.

After receiving the mayday signal, the command sent on-duty ship CSB 3005 from Dong Mui Ron (Ha Tinh province) for a rescue mission.
The ship approached the drifting trawler, gave first aid to the crewmen, and then towed the trawler to Lach Quen of Nghe An province.
