A national flag presented to the fishermen

Accordingly, at 11am of November 18, ship QNg-90708TS, captained by Ngo Van Sau from Binh Chanh commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, called the center for help because of the failure of the ship’s power generator.

Previously, the trawler was fishing within the waters of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago in tough seas due to the effect of the recent tropical Storm Toraji.

After receiving the information, the center immediately instructed the ship to head towards the scene.

At 04pm, the same day, the rescue mission found the trawler and fixed the problem, helping the trawler continue to fish.

During their stay on the island, the center informed 15 fishermen on board of the Prime Minister’s Directive 45/CT-TTg on urgent tasks and solutions following the European Commission’s yellow card warning on Vietnamese seafood in fighting illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and presented them with 1,000 liters of fresh water and a national flag.
