Border guards present wells to Central Highlands people
PANO - The Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the provincial Association of Mechanical Industry, local authorities and Dang Phong Co., Ltd., handed over two public well projects to people in Drang Phok village, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district on June 28.
Each project, worth more than VND 70 million, includes a well, a water pump, and a system of water tanks. The wells will provide water for 30 households in two residential areas and the military - civilian infirmary in Drang Phok village.
As reported, Drang Phok is a disadvantaged locality which is situated in core area of Yok Don National Park. More than 90% population of the village is ethnic minority people with 76% of them are near-poor households.
Over the past time, the provincial border guard command has coordinated with agencies, units and sponsors to build various projects and present livelihood models to help local people stabilize their life and develop economy.
