PANO - To assure soldiers’ living standards, the National Defence Ministry has assigned the Air Force-Air Defence Corps to work out a project that helps supply fresh water to soldiers who are on duty on Cam Ranh Peninsula.
After thorough consideration, units of the Oil and Petrol Department under the General Department of Logistics were selected to do the plumbing.
In early January, preparations were completed. The 15.5 kilometer water pipe runs through a complicated stretch of terrain which includes Highway 1A, a concrete yard and sand dunes.
The fresh water supply system is expected to be completed by the Lunar New Year.
