The event was attended by Sireh Jabang, Acting Head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS)’s Field Office in Bentiu, representatives of female officers from Thai, Cambodian, Mongolian, Ghanaian, Pakistanian units. At the event, Sireh Jabang congratulated Vietnamese female officers on their special day and affirmed their important role and contribution to U.N. peacekeeping operations.

The ceremony not only was to honor the female blue berets but also served as an opportunity for Vietnamese female soldiers to meet and share experience with their international peers, thereby enhancing solidarity and friendship and popularizing the Vietnamese culture and traditions to international friends.

At the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) on October 20, the Women’s Association of the Engineering Company Rotation 3 collaborated with other forces to present water to around 2,000 people in Abyei township, as part of the practical activities to mark the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union and the 14th anniversary of the Vietnamese Women’s Day.

Earlier, on October 19, the Women’s Association of Engineering Company Rotation 3 organized various celebratory activities with the participation of many guests, especially female representatives from various countries at UNISFA.

This event held significant importance, rekindling pride in the traditional values of Vietnamese women, which include being "heroic, resilient, devoted, and capable." It encouraged female personnel of the unit to actively study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style and to popularize the image of "intelligent, courageous, disciplined, and compassionate" Vietnamese women to international friends.

During the meeting, international guests also participated in a cultural exchange and culinary event that highlighted Vietnamese culture.

Ugyen Tenzen, Head of the Integrated Force Mobility Team (IFMT) under UNISFA, said, "I have worked abroad for many years and have worked with many international friends, yet I am deeply impressed and grateful for the warm welcome from the Vietnamese team. Especially today, I gained a deeper understanding of Vietnamese cultural traditions through cultural and culinary exchanges. Vietnamese women are beautiful and exquisite, excelling in both communication and culinary preparation."

Over the past time, the Women’s Association of the Engineering Company Rotation 3 has held various activities, including holding birthdays for their comrades and visiting and presenting school supplies to orphans in Abyei.
