MND works with Army Corps 34

Leaders of Army Corps 34 receives Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Quang Ngoc.

During the session, a representative of the Army Corps 34 leadership briefed the delegation on the fact that during the first seven months, the army corps thoroughly implemented resolutions and directives issued by the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the MND; as well as directed and implemented all assigned tasks.

Notably, the army corps regularly reviewed and updated combat-readiness plans, and conducted thorough training and exercises close to the actual situation and missions of its units. It also proactively implemented various measures to improve the quality of training, defense competitions, while building comprehensively strong, typical and exemplary agencies and units.

Party and political work was conducted systematically. The leadership capacity and combat strength of party committees and organizations at all levels continued to improve. The army corps also effectively participated in socio-economic development programs and movements in its area, helping local people achieve sustainable poverty reduction and supporting disaster recovery, search and rescue, and other emergency response efforts, among others.

In his concluding remarks, Gen. Ngoc praised the achievements obtained by Army Corps 34 and required the unit to review its plans, programs and targets, and provide effective leadership and direction to successfully accomplish the remaining tasks for this year. He also instructed the unit to closely monitor situational developments in its stationed area, ensure adequate forces and equipment, and remain ready to deploy and undertake missions when situations arise.

Regarding the two enterprises under Army Corps 34, Gen. Ngoc required the army corps and relevant MND agencies to study and propose appropriate arrangements and restructuring measures in line with the army corps’ actual situation and missions to competent authorities.
