Vietnam’s L2FH5 celebrates Vietnamese Women’s Day
PANO – The Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 of Vietnam in South Sudan recently held a ceremony to mark the Vietnamese Women’s Day and honored female Vietnamese peacekeepers in particular and women joining U.N. peacekeeping operations in general.
On this occasion, the hospital provided health screening for 20 servicewomen of the Mongolian Battalion of the U.N. Mission in South Sudan in Bentiu. The leadership of the hospital then presented gifts to 10 Vietnamese and 20 Mongolian female peacekeepers and shared information about diseases that women often contract.

The hospital staff also introduced the country, culture, people, and history of Vietnam as well as the relations between Vietnam and Mongolia to the Mongolian peacekeepers. The Director of Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 proposed plans for future cooperation between the hospital and the Mongolian Battalion, focusing on health care issues, cultural, culinary, sports exchanges and coordination in other aspects of work.
The two units then held a cultural, artistic, and culinary exchange, leaving good impression on participants.
