The Vietnam Museum of Military History is built on an area of 38.66 hectares. It features a main building with four floors and a basement, covering a built-up area of 23,198 square meters, with the total floor space of approximately 64,640 square meters. It includes an indoor exhibition area of 17,750 square meters, an outdoor display area of 118,054 square meters, along with a system of inner paths, parking lots, green spaces, and a modern fire safety and electrical system.

As a national-level museum with a rich and diverse collection, including many national treasures and valuable artifacts, the Vietnam Museum of Military History is situated in a convenient location in Hanoi, making it a key destination for troops, people, and international visitors interested in learning about the nation's military history and heritage.

Due to the museum’s expanded scale and importance, it is essential to build a management and operation plan to ensure the museum's efficient use and fulfillment of its mission. At the meeting, the museum’s leadership presented the management and operation plan and the proposal for the collection and use of entrance fees. In preparation for these documents, the museum has worked closely with relevant agencies and studied the management models of similar large-scale institutions.

Speaking at the event, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that the Vietnam Museum of Military History is a cultural project holding great value and significance. As the museum is open, it should maximize its utility and serve as a key venue for educating the public about the nation’s history of national construction and defense.

He directed the museum to continue coordinating with other agencies to complete the management and operation plan, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, while mastering modern museum management technologies. He also stressed the importance of carefully selecting personnel with professional qualifications and ethical standards.
