Troubled trawler saved at sea
PANO - At 5:00am on December 20, Ship 737 of Naval Unit 128 successful towed troubled trawler PY 96265TS with six fishermen on board to Song Tu Tay Island.

At 7:00am on December 19, the trawler, captained by Phan Truc from Phu Yen province, went adrift due to engine failure while fishing about 25 nautical miles northeast of Song Tu Tay Island. The captain sent a mayday signal.
Upon receiving the information, the Naval Service immediately mobilized ship 737 which was on duty in Song Tu Tay’s waters for rescue mission.
At 7:00pm the same day, the ship approached the trawler and provided first aid to fishermen.
