Troops stamp out forest fire in Hanoi
PANO - 400 troops from Regiment 141 of Division 312 under Military Region 1 were sent to Den mountain of Ve Linh village, Phu Linh commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi to stamp out a forest fire.

At 10:30 a.m. on December 19, a blaze broke out on Den mountain, Ve Linh village, Phu Linh commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi.
After receiving the information about the fire, 400 troops from Regiment 141 of Division 312 under Military Region 1 rushed to the scene.
According to Second-in-Command Officer of Regiment 141 Major Nguyen Tung Tien, the troops had to mobilize vehicles and specialized equipment, and collaborated with local firefighters and other relevant forces to quickly extinguish the fire with absolute safety for people and vehicles.
Despite rough terrains and harsh weather conditions, the joint forces did their utmost and successfully stamped out the fire at 12 p.m. the same day.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
