Troops extinguish forest fire
PANO – Troops of Quynh Phuong Border Post under the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command successfully put out a forest fire in Dong My hamlet on June 1.

Earlier, a blaze broke out in a forest in Dong My hamlet, Quynh Lap commune of Nghe An province’s Hoang Mai town due to hot weather.
After receiving information about the fire, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command instructed the Quynh Phuong Border Post to extinguish the fire.
The border post’s troops cooperated with local forces and people to put the fire under control.
Hours later, the fire was successfully stamped out.
According to initial estimates, the blaze destroyed 3,000sq.m of forest, including 100sq.m of pine trees.
