The event was jointly organized by Army Corps 15, the Gia Lai provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation and the provincial General Hospital to ease blood shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the event, participants had their body temperature measured, washed their hands, wore facemasks and kept a distance of 2m from one another.

Joining the event, non-commissioned Captain Cu Thi Thuy from Company 715 said that through mass media, she learned that the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered critical blood shortages for patient treatment at hospitals across the country. She called upon healthy people to donate their blood to save lives.

Meanwhile, non-commissioned Major To Nguyen Hien from Company 715 affirmed the importance of blood donation, which demonstrates the responsibility each person has for the community.

Blood donation is a regular activity of troops and defense workers of Army Corps 15.
