An overview of the training course

The  course is jointly held by the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, the International Organization for Migration in Vietnam, and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs under the U.S. Department of State.

The course is for 30 officers and staff of the Special Task Force, and the Division of Drug and Crime Prevention under the Lang Son provincial Border Guard Command.

During the three-day course, participants will be equipped with major contents, including key issues in human trafficking prevention and combat, international and Vietnamese laws on human trafficking and illegal immigration, investigation skills and professional measures to deal with human trafficking cases, international cooperation in prevention and combat of human trafficking, to name but a few.

The training course is seen as an occasion for border guard officers and employees to exchange information and share experience in human trafficking prevention and combat work in their units.

The course aims to raise troops’ capabilities in the prevention and combat of human trafficking, contributing to accomplishing all assigned tasks in the new situation.
