It is built on the basis of the success of “Safe and Healthy” project starting in the Central province of Thua Thien-Hue in 2006 and the Northwestern province of Dien Bien in 2011.

Accordingly, the BDCF will share expertise with local agencies in establishing an eco-system in the fight against human trafficking, thus mitigating the number of victims sold to China for sex purposes.

The scheme will also support women and children and those at high risk of human trafficking.

A memorandum of understanding on carrying out the project was also signed between the provincial People’s Committee and the BDCF.
