The press urged to have reports on activities of the military
PANO – On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), on June 18, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy-Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, led a delegation to visit and congratulate media agencies in Hanoi.
Accordingly, the delegation visited and congratulated the Central Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists' Association, the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Vietnam Television and The Voice of Vietnam Radio.
On behalf of the leaders of the General Department of Politics, General Nghia thanked and appreciated media agencies for regularly reporting defense and military missions, military building and national defense, contributing actively to the building of a regular, elite and gradually modern military.

The Deputy-Director hoped that media management agencies and media outlets would continue to cooperate closely with the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics to precisely grasp situations and provide accurate information as soon as possible to the public, especially in complex emerging situations relating to the military, to guide public opinion and counter the erroneous allegations of hostile forces.
He stressed that the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics always offer best conditions to media agencies to cover big events conducted by the military and combat readiness training, disaster relief, search and rescue to name but a few.
