An overview of the meeting |
He said the project is a key project of great significance that had received particular attention from leaders of the Party and State, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh said the agencies and units had made considerable efforts, working carefully and systematically to resolve problems step by step and keep construction on schedule.
The GDP’s vice chairman also noted that coordination among some agencies had at times fallen short and that delays in resolving certain issues had affected the overall schedule.
He asked the GDP’s relevant agencies to take greater responsibility for leading and overseeing the work, coordinate more closely and communicate directly so they could resolve problems as they arose. Each agency and unit needs to define its responsibilities, tasks and deadlines clearly and prevent internal procedures from delaying the project.
Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested the agencies and units to act pro-actively, flexibly and decisively while complying with the law. They should speed up construction while completing the investment documentation and procedures, and maintain construction quality as they work to meet deadlines. He also called for strict control of total investment to prevent losses and waste. He urged the agencies and units to work together and take responsibility for their shared task of building a modern cultural and arts venue with distinctive architecture that befits the military’s standing and traditions.
