The General Staff inspect military missions in Truong Sa island district
PANO – A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army has concluded its inspection on the implementation of military missions in Truong Sa island district and DK1 platforms.

The delegation, led by Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, praised recent achievements gained by cadres, soldiers, and people living and working on islands and platforms, and pointed out some shortcomings that must soon be overcome.
The delegation also inquired after, encouraged, and presented gifts to officers and soldiers stationed on the islands, platforms, and working on naval ships and local people.
Additionally, the delegation saluted the colors; offered incense at President Ho Chi Minh memorial site, martyrs' monuments, Hung Dao Vuong statue, and some pagodas on Truong Sa, Song Tu Tay, Son Ca, and Nam Yet islands; and organized a ceremony to commemorate martyrs who had sacrificed their lives to protect Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands and the southern continental shelf of the country.
