Study on “Promoting bilateral defense ties to actively contribute to Vietnam-Cambodia relationship” assessed
PANO - The National Council for Science and Technology reviewed and adopted a national-level study themed “Promoting bilateral defense ties to actively contribute to Vietnam-Cambodia relationship” at a meeting co-hosted by the Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the Ministry of Science and Technology on September 21 at the MND’s headquarters.
Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Defense Minister, and Chairman of the council presided over the meeting.
This study was conducted by the Department of Foreign Relations under the MND with Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Defense Minister as the chief author.

At the meeting, on behalf of the panel of authors, Lieutenant General Vu Chien Thang, Director of the MND’s Department of Foreign Relations presented a briefing on the process and results of the study.
After the briefing, the council members gave comments and objective and substantial assessments of the study. They also did detailed analyses of the study’s achievements.
Later on, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh answered all queries raised by the council members and other participants.
The council highly valued the study, saying that it is an excellent study.
On behalf of the council, Sr. Lt. Gen. Tran Don spoke highly of the theoretical and practical values as well as scientific contents of the study. He emphasized that the study has provided a scientific and practical foundation for the Party, State, Central Military Commission and MND to enhance cooperation with Cambodia, other countries and international organizations.
Gen. Don asked the panel of authors to complete the study before submitting it to the MND and Ministry of Science and Technology for approval.
