In his speech, General Phan Van Giang acknowledged and highly praised functional agencies and units for their preparation and building of the two projects.
The defense chief asked relevant agencies and units to promptly review and coordinate to adjust the projects and other plans, concentrate on training of forces, and supplement plans on the exploitation of weapons, equipment, vehicles and other modern military assets in the parades, thus affirming the military’s power and consolidating the people’s trust.
Emphasizing the significance of these events, Gen. Giang said that the organization of celebrations to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th Whole People’s Defense Festive Day must be comprehensive, intensive, close to the military’s functions and tasks. Giang also directed functional agencies and units to further boost dissemination and education to arouse the national pride, the “determined-to-fight” and “determined-to-win” spirit of the Vietnam People's Army, and the responsibility of the entire political system and the whole people during the organization of these important events.
