At the conference, the CMC’s Standing Board gave opinions about the draft report on the implementation of military and defense tasks in the first six months of 2024; the draft conclusion of the CMC on leading the implementation of military and defense tasks and building the Military’s Party Organizations in the first half of 2024; orientations for the second half of this year; plans for the CMC Conference (10th session) and the whole military politico-military conference in the first half of 2024; and the report on the emulation and commendation work in the first half of 2024, among others.

Concluding the event, General Phan Van Giang acknowledged and praised the activeness and pro-activeness of functional agencies in collaboration, giving advices, and making preparations for the draft reports and conclusions of the CMC and directives of the CMC Standing Board on holding Party congresses at all levels under the Military Party Organization.

The defense minister underlined that the agencies should focus on the outstanding achievements in all aspects obtained by the whole military in the first six months of this year, evaluating the shortcoming and causes and giving solutions to address, and proposing necessary issues to Party and State leaders.

Regarding the draft directive of the CMC Standing Board on holding Party congresses at all levels under the Military Party Organization, General Phan Van Giang required the agencies to continue to collect opinions, conduct research and complete the documents on the leadership and direction on holding Party congresses at all levels.

For the organization plan of the CMC’s Conference (10th session) and the whole military politico-military conference in H1, functional agencies should closely coordinate with relevant units to make thorough preparations in all aspects and ensure the success of the conference.
