The delegation visited Division 5 under Military Region 7, the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command, Bau Sen Border Militia Post (Tan Dong commune Military Command), and the Defensive Area Command Region 3-Tan Ninh (the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command). The delegation included leaders of Military Region 7 and functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense.

Visiting Division 5, after being briefed on the 2025 task performance results, Gen. Thang acknowledged and valued the unit’s achievements. The defense leader emphasized that Division 5 must continue to deeply grasp the Party’s military guidelines and strictly maintain combat readiness to avoid being passive or taken by surprise in any situation. He also instructed the unit to prepare well for the 2026 training season, build regularity, and organize a joyful and safe Tet celebration for troops.

Working with the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang highly appreciated the local military and defense work, as well as social security activities, particularly in building houses for the needy and caring for troops during the Tet holiday. Regarding up-coming tasks, he requested the unit to innovate working methods and effectively advise local party committees and authorities. Additionally, he urged the unit to strictly observe duty regulations, closely manage border areas, and effectively implement military recruitment tasks.

At Bau Sen Border Militia Post and Defensive Area Command Region 3-Tan Ninh, Gen. Thang encouraged the officers and soldiers on duty. He commended the sense of responsibility of the on-site forces in maintaining national border sovereignty and security. He also noted that the units should heighten vigilance, coordinate closely with other forces, review and complete defensive combat plans, and perform mass mobilization work effectively.

On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang presented gifts and extended Tet greetings to officers and soldiers, expressing his hope that the units would remain united, maintain high combat readiness, and successfully fulfill all assigned missions.
