The inspection reviewed social sciences and humanities education outcomes since 2023, the implementation of Circular No.54/2022/TT-BQP issued by the Ministry of National Defense, and the rollout of the project to renovate social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam People’s Army schools. It also examined curricula, teaching quality, innovation in teaching methods and research, faculty capacity, and the application of digital transformation to social sciences and humanities instruction.

Speaking at the working sessions, Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To underscored that social sciences and humanities education is a core component of the Party’s ideological and cultural work and a fundamental part of Party and political work in the military. He noted that it plays a key role in strengthening the Party’s absolute and direct leadership over the armed forces in all aspects, building political steadfastness among officers and soldiers, and safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation.

Inspection findings showed that both schools have strictly implemented directives and resolutions from Party committees at all levels, effectively integrated Party guidelines and State policies into teaching and research, and actively adjusted social sciences and humanities programs to meet training requirements. All social sciences and humanities lecturers hold undergraduate or postgraduate degrees, reflecting strong investment in faculty development.

Both institutions have introduced notable improvements in teaching and research, particularly through the application of information technology and digital transformation. They have combined political theory education with professional training and focused on building firm political resolve among trainees. 

The GDP’s deputy chief commended the schools’ achievements and called on their Party Committees and leadership boards to continue strengthening awareness of the role of social sciences and humanities education, identifying it as a central and regular task in building a politically strong military.  

He urged further modernization of curricula and teaching methods in line with practical needs, expanded use of digital technologies, and the development of a modern learning environment that fosters critical thinking and analytical skills. He also emphasized the need to build a highly qualified faculty with strong political integrity, closely linking teaching with research, practical review, and efforts to safeguard the Party’s ideological foundation.

The general also called for more substantive and comprehensive evaluation methods, using improvements in trainees’ awareness, political resolve, moral qualities, and practical capabilities as key benchmarks, while promoting a healthy educational environment connected with real-world training in military units.
