SMQ Department conducts voluntary blood donation
PANO - A voluntary blood donation program themed “A drop of blood donated - A life saved” took place on August 3 in Hanoi.
The program was co-held by the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (SMQ) under the General Staff and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
With the participation of a large number of officials, employees and soldiers of the Department of Standards, Meterology and Quality, the blood donation drive collected nearly 100 units of blood.
It was part of voluntary activities conducted by the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
Earlier, the two units conducted information dissemination activities to raise the staff’s awareness of voluntary blood donation.
Meanwhile, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality’s staff donated 1,000 free meals to patients with congenital hemolytic anemia who are being treated at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
In the coming time, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality will mobilize the whole officials, employees and soldiers to actively participate in voluntary blood donation activities, contributing to promoting the good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
