PANO – A voluntary blood donation program themed “Red drops of April” took place on April 20 at the People’s Army Newspaper’s headquarters in Hanoi.
The event was jointly held by the Youth Union organizations of the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) and the Center of Hematology and Blood Transfusion under Military Hospital 103, mass organizations of the General Department of Political Affairs and other youth union organizations in the locality.
It was part of various activities to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2022), the PAN’s Youth Union Congress, and Youth Union congresses at all levels.
The program aimed to tighten the close relations among mass organizations and raise donors’ awareness of social activities, especially blood donation movements.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Do Phu Tho, the PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief, called on PAN’s officers, soldiers, and Youth Union members to share their precious blood to save patients with fatal diseases who need blood to sustain their lives every day and every hour.
In the spirit of “A drop of blood donated, a life saved,” Senior Colonel Tran Tan Cuong, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103, hoped that youths and Youth Union members in the whole military would heighten their responsibility and proactively take part in blood donation programs.
The PAN would like to introduce some photos of the blood donation day.
