Secretary Hue speaks at the meeting.

At the meeting on February 28 in Hanoi, Secretary Hue highly valued the unit’s Party Committee’s active and serious direction on the preparation work.

Hue emphasized that safeguarding the capital city - the political center and the heart of the country - is an important mission. Therefore, the command should acknowledge its important role as a key force in performing the mission.

Selected to be an example in organizing a Party Congress for other units to follow, the Hanoi Capital Command’s Party Committee was asked to make careful preparations for the congress with a focus on the event’s contents.

Secretary Hue also requested the Party Committee to consider hosting the congress earlier than the scheduled time (May 27 - 29) to avoid coinciding with the mid-year session of the National Assembly.

Apart from the all-level Party congresses, the Hanoi Capital Command was urged to coordinate with other forces to ensure absolute safety for important events of the country and the capital.

In regards to COVID-19 prevention, Secretary Hue noted the complicated developments of the epidemic around the world in general and in the Republic of Korea (RoK) in particular. He directed the command to arrange vehicles and convenient accommodations for quarantined people at its four special isolated areas. The areas are now quarantining thousands of Vietnamese nationals and foreign visitors who have visited epidemic areas.
