Localities’ representatives said that thanks to careful preparations, the quality of this year’s enlistees improved in comparison with last year. Before the enlistment drive, Military Service Councils of provinces and cities had taken measures to select best candidates who could meet all political requirements and health and educational criteria.
Furthermore, those localities had paid special attention to popularizing the Law on Military Service to help youths grasp their heavy responsibilities for national construction and defense missions. Priority had also been given to university and college graduates, civil servants, and Party members.
In Dak Lak province, many of the enlistees had graduated from university, college or vocational school while 18 are Party members and three were public workers.
This year, some localities enlisted voluntary female youths. In Da Nang City, 10 females met the enlistment requirements to serve the army.
After finishing the recruitment, military units will take on the training season 2017.
