Projects on organization of parades marking major events approved

Reportedly, in order to organize the ceremony in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day, the General Staff’s Department of Military Training, in coordination with units inside and outside the military, toured the My Dinh National Stadium and identified the major contents of the project. Accordingly, the air force will conduct a flight consisting of eight helicopters, four Su-30MK2 fighters, while parade forces will be organized into 41 formations, among others.

Regarding the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution 1945 and the National Day, military units discussed and agreed on the draft document of the project. Accordingly, the Artillery Corps will fire 21 rounds of cannons, while the Air Force will conduct a saluting flight with eight helicopters, seven L39-NG, six YAK-130, four Su-30MK2 and four military transport aircraft. The parade forces consist of 28 military units, militia and self-defense force; 12 public security formations; and formations of military vehicles, to name but a few.

Addressing the conference, General Cuong hailed the preparation work for the two projects of functional units, requesting them to select forces to join training to get ready for the upcoming events.
