General Nguyen Tan Cuong meets with voters in Binh Duong Province
PANO - On June 29, General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Defense Minister and deputy of the 15th National Assembly (N.A.), joined the delegation of N.A. deputies of Binh Duong Province to meet with voters in Bau Bang and Bac Tan Uyen districts.
Having briefed on the outcomes of the ninth session of the 15th N.A, voters expressed their delight at and consensus on the Party and State’s guidelines and big policies which have laid firm foundation for the new era of development of the nation.

They showed their attention to the merger of Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; the streamlining of apparatus of political system; the operation of the two-tier local administration; and the building of a contingent of capable cadres and civil servants who stay ready to listen to the people’s opinions, and dare to think big and act bold.
They also voiced their worries about some social issues such as production, sale, and advertisement of counterfeit goods; medical work, public health care; policies for national contributors; development of traffic infrastructure; land management and planning; environmental protection; and others.

In his speech, Gen. Cuong informed voters about military restructuring in an elite, streamlined, and strong direction to meet the Fatherland protection requirements in the new situation. He also noted outstanding results in military and defense task implementation. He hoped that local Party Committees, authorities, and people would continue to support and create conditions for military units stationed in the localities to accomplish their missions.
Gen. Cuong expressed gratitude to voters for their enthusiastic and frank opinions and answered some questions according to his authority.
The defense leader asked voters to be alert to hostile forces’ fabricated information about the country's situation; be vigilant against the complicated situation of online fraud and property appropriation with many sophisticated tricks; and raise awareness of living environment protection.
Also at the meeting, leaders of Bau Bang and Bac Tan Uyen districts asked voters to continue giving recommendations on socio-economic development.

The same day, Gen. Cuong and his entourage handed over funds to build gratitude and great unity houses and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged families in Binh Duong Province.
