Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, attended the event.
During its construction and development, the school has always inherited and enriched its tradition “Loyalty, creativity, solidarity, overcoming difficulties, good instruction, and good study.”

It has also upheld its political direction, frequently renovated and rapidly updated, applied scientific achievements and experiences gained during the building of a politically-strong military in building the school while taking advantage of its experiences in training political cadres and instructors of social sciences and humanity at the detachment-level to accomplish all assigned missions.
Addressing the ceremony, General Cuong congratulated the school on its achievements and important contributions to the military’s strong development and victories.
He asked the school to continue embracing and implementing effectively resolutions and directions of the Party, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense with a focus on comprehensive renovation of education and training, and education and training development strategy in the military in the 2011-2020 period.
The school should be updated with the Party’s and State’s new policies and viewpoints, follow closely the reality of military, defense, Party and political activities in units to improve their curricula, renovate training and studying methods taking the trainees as the center and inspiring them to bring into play their dynamism, creativity, ability of self-study, self-practice and practical activity.
Moreover, the school should continue improving the quality of teaching and learning foreign languages, computer science, laws, socio-economic issues, and foreign relations to meet the nation’s requirements in the international integration, promptly build and carry out the “Smart school” model, apply advances of the fourth Industrial Revolution to education and training.
