The hospital has 500 beds, 15 specialized departments and functional areas.
As one of the five hospitals established under the Government's Project 125 with the investment of VND 2.2 trillion, the hospital is built into a hi-tech one meeting the regional healthcare demand. Attentively, it is the first hospital with a helipad on its rooftop.

The hospital will become a multi-purpose emergency center able to handle air medevac cases, emergency cases on land or on the waterway. It will be also a center for training, technology transfer, scientific research and international cooperation.
The hospital targets to cooperate with foreign experts, apply high technologies, provide rehabilitation services and offer sports medicine in the time to come.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, PM Phuc congratulated and applauded Military Hospital 175’s efforts and achievements in building a strategic hospital and becoming a reliable address for troops, people and foreigners.
PM Phuc highly valued the hospital’s good results in providing health care for those on islands, in remote and mountainous areas, in the Central Highlands and for Cambodian people. He also praised the hospital for timely completion of the construction of the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital.

Regarding the future missions, PM Phuc asked Military Hospital 175 to better the military-civilian medicine work, develop technology and science, promote the application of high technologies to treatment, improve its staff’s professional competence, and master modern equipment.
The hospital was also asked to become a regional multi-purpose medical facility, speed up the construction of a 1,000-bed general hospital, and acquire modern medical technologies in the world.
After the ceremony PM Phuc inquired after several patients under treatment at the hospital, toured the Hoa Anh Dao (Sakura) Nurse Training Center, and planted a tree in the compound of the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital.
