PANO – The People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) has recently organised a fact-finding tour for newspaper and television correspondents to disseminate information on the consequences and clearing of bombs, mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in provinces of the Central region and Central Highlands.
The field trip also aimed to urge domestic and international donors to support activities to minimize post-war bomb and mine incidents. The trip is part of the plan to disseminate the “National action program on overcoming UXO consequences in the post war period from 2010 to 2025” (or Program 504).
On December 11th and 12th, the Da Nang City Command and relevant agencies created the most favourable conditions for correspondents to study realities and meet with UXO victims.
On this occasion, the PAN also presented gifts to 3 needy UXO victims in Hoa Tho Tay Precinct, Cam Le District, Da Nang City.
