The event was co-chaired by Major General Pham Van Huan, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief and Major General Doan Thai Duc, Army Corps 1's Commander. Other representatives of the two units also attended the event.

After one year of implementing their cooperation, the two units have been active and proactive in carrying out information dissemination. Accordingly, the agencies and units under Army Corps 1 have regularly provided information and created favorable conditions for PAN's editors to fulfil all assigned missions so as to disseminate Army Corps 1's activities to military and civilian readers.

The two units have also coordinated to implement the home front policies, including building and handing over two gratitude houses to needy servicemen.

Speaking at the event, Major General Doan Thai Duc thanked the PAN's cooperation in promoting information dissemination on the unit's activities, thus contributing to improving the quality of training, combat readiness, and political activities of Army Corps 1.

He hoped that in 2020, the two units will increase cooperation activities, especially exchanges of all-level delegations, and coordination in other meaningful activities.

Gen. Huan also asked the two units to promote coordination in various fields, especially in taking care of material and spiritual lives of troops. The PAN will promote articles on Army Corps 1's activities and expand relations with the corps. In addition, the PAN will improve press capabilities for troops and collaborators of Army Corps 1.

* The same day, the PAN and the Command of Army Corps 1 inaugurated and handed over a gratitude house to Captain Hoang Van Chinh, a non-commissioned officer in Phu Loc commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province.

The 150sq.m house was completed at a cost of VND 350 million, of which VND 80 million was contributed by the Corps’ troops.

On the occasion, the two units, in association with local authorities, presented many meaningful gifts to Chinh's family.
