Over the past five years, the emulation movement and the development of role models among military female personnel have seen strong and widespread progress. The movement titled “Intelligent and Courageous Military Women Successfully Fulfilling Tasks, Building Happy Families, Worthy of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers in the New Era” has become a driving force, closely linked with major emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Party, State, military, and the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Nearly 90% of members of Military Women’s Union have met the three criteria of the movement, while over 98% of families of military women have met the standards of the campaigns “Five Nos, Three Cleans” and “Five Yeses, Three Cleans”, earning the title of “Cultural Family.”
In the past five years, one woman has been honored as Hero of the People’s Armed Forces; several individuals and collectives have received the Vietnam Women Awards, one honored with Nguyen Thi Dinh Award, and many with honorary titles such as People’s Artist, Meritorious Artist, Meritorious Teacher, and Meritorious Doctor.
Speaking at the event, GDP Director General Trinh Van Quyet stressed that the ceremony was an occasion to honor and recognize the contributions of military women to the cause of military building, defense consolidation, and national protection. He urged Party committees, chains-of-command, political commissars, and political agencies at all levels to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement higher-level guidelines on women affairs, ensuring gender equality in line with military and defense tasks.

He emphasized creating favorable conditions for women’s comprehensive development, ensuring equal opportunities for contribution and advancement, and building strong, happy families, laying a solid foundation for the society and firm rear for the military. Women’s unions in the military were urged to innovate their activities to make them more practical and effective, promote digital transformation, and build the image of the “Outstanding Military Women of the Digital and Integration Era” with bravery, wisdom, creativity, discipline.
General Quyet also requested stronger alignment of women affairs with major military movements.
He called on the honored individuals and collectives to continue striving, innovating, and upholding the noble tradition of “Heroic, Indomitable, Faithful, and Courageous” of Vietnamese women.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the GDP, Gen. Quyet expressed his belief that the military women’s emulation movement in the new period will achieve stronger, more comprehensive progress, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army and a strong, modern whole people’s defense posture.
At the event, 63 outstanding collectives were presented with the GDP’s emulation flags, and 175 individuals received GDP’s certificates of merit for their outstanding contributions in the women’s emulation movement in the 2020-2025 period.

Earlier the same day, a delegation of outstanding military women, led by GDP Deputy Director Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, laid wreaths at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and offered incense to heroes and martyrs at the Bac Son Martyrs’ Memorial in Hanoi.
