Officers to be trained overseas undertake missions
PANO - Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, assigned tasks for 257 officers to be trained overseas.

At a ceremony on August 23 at Unit 871, General Nghia emphasized that the training gives Vietnamese trainees opportunities to approach and acquire more advanced knowledge in the countries where they will study; he also said that it is their great honor and responsibility for the home country, people and army.
He asked the trainees to uphold their political stance, be absolutely loyal to the Party’s revolutionary cause, be firm in any difficult circumstances, and strive to be deserving of revolutionary soldiers.
General Nghia also required them to be proud of the heroic nation and army of Vietnam, considering it a driving force to further study and practice.
The trainees were asked to strictly observe regulations of military external affairs, the law of Vietnam and the host countries as well as training facilities’ regulations while promoting solidarity, unity and mutual support as well as international friendship. They should heighten their self-awareness and take full advantage of conditions and time to study and acquire more knowledge of military science and technology to contribute to the development and growth of the army, and to fully serve the Fatherland and the people.
On behalf of the trainees, Colonel Dao Hong Phuong, Commander of Regiment 250 of Division 361 of the Air Defense-Air Force Service, promised to be active in their study to quickly acquire military sciences and arts, as well as knowledge of the host countries to effectively apply them in their future working missions.
