Nghe An’s border guard troops show off skills and strength
PANO - Founded in 1959, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command is tasked with managing and protecting the 468.281km-long borderline, adjacent to three Laos’ provinces of Huaphanh, Xiengkhuang, and Borikhamxay and a 82km of coastline.
To well manage and firmly protect the national border sovereignty and security and fight all kinds of crimes, Nghe An province’s border guard force has continuously trained to raise their competence, health, martial arts skills, and combat readiness capability.
On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the foundation day of the border guard force (March 3, 1959 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Border Guard Festive Day (March 3, 1989 - 2024), the People’s Army Newspaper Online would like to introduce some photos of impressive martial arts performance of troops of the provincial border guard command.

Over the past 65 years of combat and development, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command has been honored with the title of "Hero of the People’s Armed Forces" twice. Hundreds of groups and individuals have been presented with medals and other noble awards, contributing to enriching the glorious traditions of the province’s border guard force. |
