Border guards conduct more activities to help people in border areas
PANO - Over the past time, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Border Guard Command has paid much attention to directing its units to enhance coordination with all levels, industries and localities to implement programs, projects, and models on socio-economic development.
These activities have contributed to helping local people in border areas to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and achieve many practical results.

Particularly, the border guard force has actively disseminated information and encouraged local people to observe the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s laws; engage in activities to safeguard border security and national sovereignty over sea and islands.
Last year, the border guards organized the “Border spring warms up border people’s hearts” and presented gifts, worth around VND 34.2 billion, to local people; conducted activities under the border guard day; implemented the “Troops pave the way to school for children” project, adopted 400 children, and supported 5,437 disadvantaged children, to name but a few.
