Naval Region 2 launches sports competitions on National Day
PANO - The Naval Region 2 Command launched sports competitions on September 2 in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in celebration of the 77th anniversary of the National Day.
The competitions were joined by 150 athletes of 8 teams from affiliated units and agencies in Long Son Military Base. Participants will compete in several sports such as volleyball, football, sack race, tug of war, and more.

According to Colonel Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Commanding Officer and Chief-of-Staff of Brigade 167 of Naval Region 2, the competitions help reduce troops’ pressure and stress after training sessions, contributing to raising their physical strength and ensuring combat readiness in each unit.
The events also were held to promote physical training and sports movement, and raising troops’ awareness of the meaning of the National Day.
